QUALIFICATIONS / BACKGROUND

Paul Hooker joined PICOR in 2005. A native Tucsonan, Paul began his brokerage career in 1996 as an industrial properties broker for CB Richard Ellis (CBRE). In 1997, he partnered with two associates to create a brokerage team that ultimately became one of the most successful teams in the history of the Tucson CBRE operation. Between 1997 and 1999, this team produced an average transaction volume in excess of 1,000,000 square feet and $50,000,000 per year, including 28 sale transactions for properties of $1,000,000 or greater in value for a total consideration of nearly $117,000,000 during this time period. Paul was CBRE Employee of the Year in 1996, top-producing Rookie of the Year in 1997, and his team was the overall highest-producing brokerage group in the Tucson CBRE office in 1997 and 1999. In 2000, Paul became a broker and project manager for Shenkarow Realty Advisors, a newly-formed development and brokerage firm initially comprised of seven former CBRE colleagues. During his five years with Shenkarow Realty Advisors, Paul was involved in the new development, redevelopment, master planning, acquisition, disposition, and/or leasing of 20 major retail centers and office projects in the Tucson area, collectively comprising more than 2,000,000 square feet.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Paul has been involved in the brokerage of more than 500 sale and lease transactions throughout his career, for a total value consideration in excess of $350,000,000. Significant transactions include the 2002 sale of the Venture West retail portfolio for $28,000,000; the 1999 sale of the 17-property, 1,730,000 SF Holualoa Industrial Portfolio for $77,600,000; and the 1998 lease of a 135,000 SF build-to-suit office building to Intuit. Prior to his brokerage career, Paul was in the Appraisal Services division of CBRE, where he completed valuation and market analysis assignments for over $400,000,000 of commercial real estate located in Tucson, Las Vegas, and Albuquerque.
